Footballers are, traditionally, a very superstitious bunch.
From putting socks on in a certain order to wearing lucky underwear, sticking to winning habits is fully part of the routine for pros.
Well, most pros, except Declan Rice, it would seem.
Because last night he swapped boots at half-time AFTER he had opened the scoring for West Ham in the Europa League against Rapid Vienna.
He traded his bright yellow and red Adidas X Speedflow (£180) for the silver Adidas 19.1 (£170) - a boot he has favoured most over the past couple years.
After the match, West Ham's talisman revealed he'd predicted he was going to score, in a chat with Mark Noble.
Rice said: "It was funny - when I knew I was playing with Nobes tonight, I said to him I'm going to try and bomb on a little bit tonight, and I told him I'd score!
"When the opportunity came I saw there was a bit of space to run into as the play built up. If you don't make the runs you're not getting to get a chance and to score again is a really nice feeling. I wish it could be every week!"
